Retrase

Privacy

Your footage never reaches us.

Retrase is software you run, not a service we operate. Your device list, live streams, and recordings live on your own hardware. Last updated: 2026-07-22.

The short version

Retrase is self-hosted software. You run the control plane and the media relay on your own box. Your cameras, the live video, and every recorded clip stay on your hardware. We — Spergs, LLC — never see any of it, because none of it is sent to us.

This website (retrase.net) is a static marketing page. It sets no cookies, has no accounts, and runs no third-party trackers.

What the software collects

Nothing is sent to us. Retrase has no telemetry and never phones home. Your device list is served by your control plane; live video is carried by your relay; recorded clips are written to your disk under a retention policy you set. Deleting a clip is deleting a file on your own storage.

Access to both planes is gated by a shared bearer token that lives only on your machines. There is no Retrase account and no Retrase server in the middle.

Cameras and third parties

If you connect a Google Nest camera, your relay talks to Google's Smart Device Management API using your credentials — that connection is between you and Google, under Google's terms, and Retrase just relays the stream it receives. RTSP cameras are pulled directly on your own network.

There are no analytics providers, ad networks, or data brokers in the media path. There is nothing to sell because we hold nothing.

This website

retrase.net is served as static files. It doesn't ask for your name, email, or any personal information, and it doesn't set tracking cookies. Standard web server request logs (IP + timestamp) may exist at the hosting layer for operational reasons; they're not used to profile you.
